What do forward thinking companies of today have in common with blacksmiths of the early 1900s?

120 years ago, horses’ shoes would wear down every so often, as their owners would ride them around town. To the market and back home. To church, or school. Out into the farm. The miles took their toll, and when the shoes wore down enough, the owners would stop in to their local blacksmith, who would fix the shoes, giving the horse a fresh set, enabling the rider to go farther.

115 years ago, with the advent of motor vehicles, the blacksmith saw his previous customers pass on by, with no need to stop for new horseshoes. Some blacksmiths closed shop, realizing their services were no longer needed.

The smart blacksmiths, though, evolved. They began selling oil and gasoline on the side of the road, paving the way for the earliest gas stations.

20 years ago, businesses paid Yellowpages to show up in the appropriate section of the phone book.

15 years ago, that began to change.

Customers started typing their wants and needs into Google’s search bar. The phone book became a door-stopper.

Your customers didn’t go away, they’re just online. That’s where Over Town steps in. You have to be where the customers are. And we can take you there.
